Meet Matthew Sazma

Matthew is a tenacious leader with a strong record of community involvement. As an entrepreneur, he received recognition for innovative solutions and as a professor, he supported student workers against unfair labor practices. Elect Matthew to the Minnesota House and he will defend your rights by ensuring corporations are no longer allowed to take advantage of hard-working taxpayers.
Born and raised in Minnesota, Matthew went to the University of Minnesota where he majored in Psychology and minored in Astrophysics. He went on to earn his Ph.D in Cognitive Neuroscience and worked as a professor at the University of La Verne. He currently works in the data & AI field and is proud to call Forest Lake home.
Matthew has always been driven to help those around him. Whether teaching Math & English at an orphanage in the Philippines, working as a wildland firefighter in AmeriCorps, or volunteering at the local food shelf, those around him know that Matt knows how to get things done and does so with a smile.
